John Booth is a Toronto based designer who works together with Arounna Khounnora under the name Bookhou. They make simple and solid furniture from scrap wood (amongst other things) and have opened a shop in the fall of 2008 in Toronto. By using scrap wood every piece of furniture they produce is slightly different, regarding to the material they find, and very labour intensive. The ‘Child’s felt chair’ (image above) consists of only two materials, felt and wood, which make it beautifully simple and balanced.
