For the third time the  MISS READ Art book fair took place at KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin. With over 80 international publishers and distributors, the festival grows every year and offers a platform for the contemporary scene of independent-publishers. In times of crisis the big publishing houses have stopped taking risks and publish very little new material, quality publications have lost over the profit margin. This is probably one of the many reasons independent publishers and alternative distribution networks are gaining interest and growing in number, and explains the success of this years MISS READ book fair. I’ve really enjoyed seeing enthousiastic stand holders, presses and publishers. A great atmosphere and even room for hot dogs and a beer. The photo-set at read more!
