The concept behind the 1qm chair is, to build a modern chair with cheap and easy-to-form materials. The German designer Konstantin Datz  made use of simple Multiplex planks which can be assembled and disassembled without tools. Using only 1qm of wood, the chair is designed to conserve materials and resources, costing only 13€ per exemplar.
